Tilly and the Buttons Megan Dress

I was the beneficiary of several seamstressy gifts this holiday season courtesy of my MIL. I love them all, but my favorite was a little tome called Love at First Stitch by the adorable Tilly Walnes, the British bird behind the blog Tilly and the Buttons. Not only is the book chock-full of helpful sewing hints and step-by-step instructions with PICTURES, thank you Moses, but it came with patterns for two dresses, two skirts, pajama pants, and a blouse. It seriously makes such a difference to be able to see a full-color picture of how things are supposed to look at each step accompanied by clear-as-day directions written in the Queen’s English (as opposed to the hieroglyphs in Simplicity patterns). I love you Tilly. Sew, sew much.
